Panther Powerlifting Powerlifting Club Update 2.09.08 North Crowley Meet a Success Parish competed in the first powerlifting meet of the season at North Crowley High School. The Parish team was the only private school in a field of mostly 5A public schools and the boys did a GREAT job with several lifters finishing in the Top 10 in their weight class. Ryan Simons, Jeff Button, Reid Berry and Will Romo all had tremendous efforts at the meet. Parish was the smallest school at the meet and made the biggest splash! We are very proud of our lifters and are anxious to see how they do the rest of the season. Parish Makes Noise at The Colony Meet The Colony has long been a powerhouse in the DFW area when it comes to powerlifting and the Panthers were honored to take part the meet hosted by The Colony. Once again Parish was the only private school represented and was in a sea of large public schools and once again Parish wasted no time in making a strong showing. Many of the team members hit their personal best and as a whole the team showed very well. The following students placed in the Top 10 in their weigh divisions:    Jeff Button - 3rd Place, 165lbs class (Total=1080)  Andre Brackens - 3rd Place, 181lbs class (Total=1065)  Luis Rios - 4th Place, 220lbs class (Total=1030)  Hayden Moujalled - 4th Place, Super Heavy Weight class (Total=1245)  Ty Mcdonnough - 7th Place, 220lbs class (Total=940) The Powerlifting Team has set some VERY lofty goals and are well on their way to accomplishing every single one of them.
