The past encounters with W.T. White came back to repeat themselves.  Parish now leads the series 2 - 1 with a three point win in this last chapter of a building rivalry.  This year’s contest wasn't as sharp as past years with the teams combining for 38 personal fouls and more than 60 turnovers. A week layoff from game play left the Panthers a little rusty.  Last year’s missed buzzer beater by White was almost repeated this year when a game tying shot attempt was blocked by senior Leslie Briggs.  The block was amazing in its own right, with Briggs standing a whopping 5'2. It was also impressive because she came off the free throw line having just hit one of two free throws to put Parish ahead by 47-46. Lucy Keith secured the rebound and knocked down two more free throws to ice the contest.

The Panthers play next at 9am on Nov. 18 at the Adidas Pink & White tournament at Garland Christian High School.
