Cross Country Prepares for District
Keller Cross Country Invitational

The Varsity cross country team had several standout performances in the Keller Cross Country Invitational on September 30. The boys and the girls competed in the small school division and received both individual and team rankings as a result of their efforts.

In the boys’ 5K (3.1 miles), Alex Kaiser placed second out of 88 runners with an outstanding time of 17:29, barely a second behind the leader, while Conrad Smith earned a strong tenth place finish with a time of 19:02. Female runners Cozette Kale and Kelsey McDonnough achieved third and fifth place finishes out of 75 runners with times of 13:09 and 13:32 in the girls’ two mile race. The girls’ team outstanding performance earned them a fifth place team ranking in the meet. Please come see the Parish cross country team this Saturday, October 7th, when they host the TAPPS district meet.


Saturday, Sept 23
Arlington Martin Cross Country Meet
Veterans Park, Arlington
Despite the early morning wake up call, the humid & hot first day of Fall and a very hilly and treacherous course, the team had several outstanding performances in the Martin High School public school meet in Arlington. In the girls 4A division, running a two mile course, out of 98 runners, Kelsey McDonnough and Cozette Kale took 21st and 24th respectively with the times of 14:36 and 14:47.

In the boys 4A division, running a 5K (3.1 miles) course, Conrad Smith placed 37th out of 103 runners with a time of 19:52 while team mate Alex Kaiser was pushing the lead pack with a strong 5th place finish with an outstanding time of 17:34.

Next meet is this weekend at Keller, the last prep meet before the TAPPS district meet to be hosted at Parish on October 7.


Saturday, Sept 9
Seagoville Cross Country Meet
Norbuck Park (at White Rock Lake)

Parish had a strong showing in the UIL 4A CC Meet.

The team had three top 10 finishes with Kelsey McDonnough and Cozette Kale in the Girls 4A Varsity division and Alex Kaiser in the Boys 4A Varsity division.

The Boys team also had strong showings from Conrad Smith, Matthew Chase, Evan Hall and Garrett Moore.

Andrew Mozley and Al Haidar had Personal Best times.

Amanda Daum, Maddie Solari and Jessica Weltge also had Personal Best times for the Girls Team.

Eli Fagerstom (7th grader) ran very well in the Boys JV division.

Girls ran a 2 mile course, while the Boys ran a 5K (3.1 miles) course.
