Parish has advanced to a first ever TAPPS Class 5A boys state soccer tournament after defeating Fort Worth Christian in penalty kicks Monday afternoon. Parish plays in the semifinals against Tomball Concordia at 9 a.m. Friday in Waco. If Parish wins, the Panthers advance to the state final at 11 a.m. Saturday at Baylor.

In a thrilling, 3-2, second-round playoff victory over FWC, Parish rallied from an 0-2 deficit to win 13-12 in penalty kicks. The final penalty kick was by senior Braeger Moore.
