Senior Leslie Briggs, an exceptional Parish student-athlete, signed a National Letter of Intent on Feb. 13, to play soccer at The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Briggs’ signing represents an historic moment for the school, as she became Parish’s first student to sign to play at the Division I level.
Briggs has played soccer, basketball and track for Parish and has had a storied club soccer career with the Dallas Texans, Sting Dallas Royal and High Plains Drifters. Briggs has been a part of the Olympic Development soccer program since 2003, and RISE magazine listed her as one of Dallas/Ft. Worth’s All-Area Soccer Players.
In addition, Briggs has achieved numerous academic accomplishments, including being a member of the National Honor Society and a charter member of Parish’s chapter of Mu Alpha Theta.
